Mr. Thorton was admitted to Rehab America in Waverly after surgery left him bedbound and unable to move his feet or legs without assistance. Initially, he struggled with even the simplest movements and required support for all daily activities.
Through dedicated work with his occupational and physical therapists, he focused on core strength and activity tolerance and made remarkable progress.
Mr. Thorton is now able to stand with minimal assistance in the parallel bars and has recently started marching in place. His determination to regain mobility and independence is truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing him continue this path to recovery!
