With a two-year-old granddaughter that she raised at home, Bonnie Hawthorne knew she needed to regain her independence as quickly as possible. When she arrived to Rehab America Union City, Bonnie couldn’t stand, get out of bed, or walk. She required full assistance with bathing and dressing. Even though the road to recovery was tough with two hospitalizations, Bonnie prevailed and dedicated herself to improvement. On her last day of therapy, she accomplished her goal to be able to walk using a rolling walker up a ramp, which is what she would need to do at home. We will miss Bonnie, but we are thrilled to see her succeed! Congratulations!
