Rehab America Covington helped Vietnam Veteran Dean Taylor return home after he fell at home and couldn’t walk. During his stay, Mr. Taylor’s family was considering discharging him to a long-term care facility due to his overall weakness and his inability to walk. However, through Mr. Taylor’s hard work, he has met his goals and is now able to walk household distances safely using a rolling walker and has even walked up steps using handrails, something he hasn’t been able to do for years.
Even better, he was able to make it home in time to celebrate his 63rd wedding anniversary with his spouse. We are so proud of him for exceeding his prior level of function and doing so well in therapy. Congratulations, Mr. Taylor!
